Location: Gut Aiderbichl IffeldorfAmbras is a Saluki mix and eight years old. He is one of six dogs that the owner had left behind in the apartment. The dogs were about to be evicted and had been left to fend for themselves. A call to the municipal authorities revealed that the dog's owner was in hospital, that she had left the keys to the apartment in the wrong place and that someone should now look after the dogs. The Austrian Animal Rescue Service contacted Gut Aiderbichl. Somehow the dogs found themselves trapped, because nobody knew exactly where they were supposed to go. Together with Austrian Animal Rescue, we were then able to find a good solution for the animals. The health check revealed that the dogs' teeth were unkempt and covered in tartar, one dog had a blind eye, their claws were far too long and their general condition was not good. Aras has settled in well over the last few weeks. He has good food, medical care and we hope that his soul is also recovering and that he has a positive outlook for the future.
