Pig Clyde
Mini-pig
In a world where animals are often seen as an entertaining pastime, one woman experienced a painful lesson in responsibility. Perhaps on impulse, she had acquired two pot-bellied pigs. What began as a happy idea quickly became an insurmountable challenge. The daily care, the space required and the intensive attention that these intelligent creatures need, were beyond her. She was faced with a difficult decision and had to realize that love alone was not enough to keep these animals in a species-appropriate way. With a heavy heart, she searched for a way to do justice to the pigs. The thought of having them slaughtered was unbearable. In her despair, but also in her deep concern for the welfare of the animals, she turned to a foundation. This was the decisive step that showed that she was aware of her responsibility and wanted to give the animals a second chance.
