Erna and her stable friend Trudi had given birth to a multiple birth. In the eyes of their farmer, they were useless and would have been slaughtered. By chance, Aiderbichler Christian Kögl visited the farmer and got talking. They were immediately given the go-ahead and Trudi and Erna were allowed to move in with their fawns.
