Chicken Ferdinand

Nature can often be cruel, because the right of the strongest counts here. Ferdinand the cockerel had to experience for himself just how dangerous this can be. He had broken his leg in the past and after a recovery period he was supposed to be reintegrated into the group. But his hens idetified him as weak and simply cast him out. To spare Ferdinand any more attacks and injuries, the animal lover asked for the young cockerel to be taken in. He is lovingly cared for and protected at Gut Aiderbichl Carinthia.
