In February 2024, we learned about donkeys in need that were being kept in Italy under the most appalling conditions. 59 neglected animals were about to be slaughtered. An Italian animal welfare organization had managed to buy the donkeys at auction, give them the best possible care and find new homes for most of them. But there seemed to be no solution for the remaining 14 donkeys. Desperate, the animal welfare activist turned to Gut Aiderbichl - and fortunately we were able to pledge our support. When we arrived on site, we were deeply shocked by the condition of the animals. The donkeys' hooves were so badly overgrown that their legs were grotesquely deformed. With every step they had to endure martyrdom. Together, we were finally able to bring 12 donkey stallions and the two mares Franca and Simona to safety at Gut Aiderbichl and provide them with medical care. Here they finally have the chance to slowly find their way back to life. Please support us with a symbolic sponsorship so that we can continue to help animals in need!
