Necessity brings people together, and that's exactly what happened in the case of Hilde and little Lori. When Lori was born, we wanted nothing more than for her to be raised by her mother. But her mother died and Lori was now all alone. The Gut Aiderbichl team stepped in and provided Lori with the all-important milk. But we were unable to teach her "horse language". So we looked for a nurse mare and found Hilde. Her foal had been born dead and she herself was incredibly sad about the loss. We brought Hilde to us and brought the two of them together - a patchwork family was born.
