Dog Jason

Jason was rescued thanks to the intervention of an animal lover who also worked in animal welfare. She had been in contact with a German teacher in Greece for a long time and kept receiving videos from Greece. One day, she discovered the male dog Jason on one of these videos. Jason was seeking shelter on the teacher's property. It was suspected that he had been abandoned by a hunter, which is not uncommon in southern countries. He was probably no longer fit for hunting. The teacher reported that Jason refused to be touched and kept running away. One day, however, she was able to tell her friend in Germany that Jason could now be caught and was safe. Jason enjoyed the care and love and it seemed as if he had forgotten his struggle to survive on the streets. However, he did not want to miss out on trips into the surrounding area, but came home every evening. One day, the outing ended in a serious accident and his right front leg was shattered. In addition, he was diagnosed with the infectious disease leishmaniasis, a disease that mainly affects animals from southern countries. The animal lover in Germany feared for Jason's life. Vet costs and everything Jason needed to survive were covered by this wonderful woman. After some time, Jason was able to come to Germany and a great life was about to begin. However, his new owners' own health made it difficult to care for Jason. Jason became an Aiderbichler. Jason's right leg, which had been involved in an accident, had grown together crookedly at the elbow and was causing him pain. In order to guarantee Jason a pain-free life, the leg was amputated. Jason himself took the operation in his stride and enjoys every day full of love and good food. We wish you a happy life at Gut Aiderbichl, dear Jason.
