A few weeks ago, we received a call for help from an animal shelter in the Donetsk region. They have received an evacuation notice and an animal rescuer from the town of Dobropillia has to give up her shelter. But the woman wants to fight for the lives of her 94 dogs and 31 cats and not leave them to die alone. We have decided to help here and will do everything we can to bring them all to safety. As we could not take all the dogs and cats with us at once, we had to plan two trips. Barney was brought to safety in October 2022. Jeanny is our little miracle: she was run over by a car in Ukraine. All the doctors diagnosed her with paralysis of her hind legs, which in their eyes was irreversible. But her animal friends and she herself proved them wrong: Jeanny can walk and is a bundle of energy.
