Jocki belongs to the blue-fronted Amazon breed, sometimes also called the yellow-winged Amazon. The amazons are mostly green and have a special coloration on their heads, which gives them their name. Jocki and his fellow Amazons were rescued by an animal lover who wanted to fulfill his dream of having his own sanctuary. Together with Gut Aiderbichl, they made a plan and put it into practice. So Jocki came under the protection of Gut Aiderbichl and was allowed to stay forever. And as Amazons can live up to 40 years, we still have a wonderful, long time together ahead of us.
