Chicken Kathrin
Empty-hybrid
Kahtrin is a laying hybrid hen - The production of chicks from hybrid hens is almost exclusively carried out by large-scale industries. Hybrid hens differ from traditional breeds in that they are kept for meat production and produce a high yield. Hybrid laying hens need about two kilograms of feed to produce one kilogram of eggs. Old breed hens require between four and five kilograms of feed to achieve the same result. The laying hybrid hen lays up to 330 eggs in a year during the first laying period.
