When life only gets a price per kilogram, something has gone very wrong. Lady found herself at a horse slaughter market in Maishofen. If Michael Aufhauser hadn't found her and bought her free, she would probably have found herself on a slaughter transport to the south or east of Europe. When we took Lady in, we promised her that she would stay with us until the end of her natural life and we will do everything we can to keep this promise.
