Lea belongs to the degus breed. These are originally native to Chile. They are diurnal and can live up to six years. Degus are very trusting. Felix, Puppi, Lea and Lena were very much loved by their humans. They had their own room and were cared for in a manner appropriate to their species. But circumstances changed. The pet owners had to move into an apartment, and there was no room for the animals. The degus became Aiderbichlers and lead a paradisiacal life here.
