Our little Leyla was born as a triplet. As a mother sheep only has two teats, the lambs start to fight over the teats. In this situation, the mother decides who she wants to continue rearing and who, unfortunately, she does not. This is a natural process that is not as unusual as it first appears. But nowadays, rejecting a lamb does not always have to be a death sentence. Many shepherds take care of these animals and raise them with the bottle. Leyla was also a lamb that her mother had decided against. When we heard about her, we were determined to help the little lamb and brought Leyla to Gut Aiderbichl.
