We adopted Mali together with her mother Rahel from a German camel farm. Rahel used to be part of a circus act and eventually found her way to a camel farm via detours. It was there that little Mali was born. From the very beginning, she had something like fool's freedom among our dromedaries, and her mother Rahel was always there to support her. All this made Mali very self-confident. When Rahel had to be put to sleep in October 2020, Mali's world fell apart. But together with our keepers and her fellow animals, Mali was able to cope well with her grief.
