Location: Gut Aiderbichl PflegestelleMarcus' story begins at the age of around 3 years in the waiting area of the slaughterhouse in Austin, Texas. As warmblood horses are rather rare in this area, an employee of the slaughterhouse became aware of the gelding. He informed his girlfriend, who was particularly interested in warmblood horses. The friend bought the horse on the same day. The horse was presumably baptized BaBage by her. As Marcus exhibited very difficult behavior, she decided to give the animal to a couple after a while. However, the couple also found themselves overwhelmed by the difficult horse. They no longer let him out in the paddock but only in an adjoining paddock where there was not much to be found apart from garbage, scrap metal and old cars. BaBa was starving. A concerned friend told a lady about the horse and she immediately decided to drive to Austin and take him in. BaBa was in terrible shape and the name itself seemed almost as terrible. The lady gave him the name Marcus. Nothing was to remind him of his previous miserable life. It was a long time before Marcus even let himself be touched. He was extremely traumatized by what people had done to him. Like Max, he lived with Lucy for around 2.5 years. He is still considered difficult to this day. We will change this with a lot of targeted attention.
