When we took in the Noriker mare Fiona and her foal Henry in September 2013, the patient broodmare was already pregnant again. Henry was not suitable for breeding and so he was threatened with slaughter. At 3 a.m. on Good Friday, April 18, 2014, Fiona gave birth to a healthy filly. Mariella not only looks a lot like her mother. Just like Fiona and Henry, Mariella is very lucky to be allowed to stay at Gut Aiderbichl until the end of her natural life. While Henry lives at Gut Aiderbichl Eslarn, Fiona and Mariella enjoy their existence on our main estate.
