We will never forget the images of the flood of the century in Deggendorf in 2013. Many livelihoods were destroyed and many animals lost their lives in the flood waters. The Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf team did everything they could at that time to help as many animals as possible and save their lives. Entire farms were evacuated and the cattle were temporarily housed at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf. Among them were Merita and her stable sisters. Shortly after her arrival at Gut Aiderbichl, she gave birth to a small bull calf. We asked her farmer to let us take Merita and the calf. He agreed and so Merita and the calf became Aiderbichlers.
