Donkey Mona

Mona was born on a farm in the province of Salzburg. Unfortunately, the owner had no interest in the foal or the mother mare Olympe. Mother and daughter arrived at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf in July 2017 in a terribly neglected condition. Two Aiderbichl ladies had become aware of the mother mare and foal while on vacation - the signs of neglect were obvious: Olympe and Mona's hooves were far too long, and every step was certainly causing them great pain. The Aiderbichler women wanted to help. The owner gave them an ultimatum: "Take the animals or they will be sent to the dealer tomorrow!" All the levers were set in motion, and just a few hours later Mona and her mother Olympe moved into Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf.
