The Giovanni Althoff Circus was one of the leading circus companies in Germany at the time, alongside Zirkus Krone and Sarrasani. However, things went downhill from 1985 onwards. Various problems got in the way of the company, which ultimately led to its closure. A comeback failed. The circus family continued to look after the last remaining animals. But at some point, this was no longer manageable for the family. They asked Gut Aiderbichl to take in their last six circus Haflinger stallions, who were able to move in thanks to the commitment of Ballermann Ranch. The beautiful Namo will remain under the protection of Gut Aiderbichl forever.
