Had it not been for this one visit, Novak would not be alive today. Beatrice Bürchler-Keller visited her neighbor, who was a passionate Freiberger breeder. When she found out that Novak and three other foals did not meet breeding expectations, she was very worried about the good little horses. It was likely that they would end up on a transport to Italy for slaughter. She turned to Gut Aiderbichl and asked Michael Aufhauser for help. He agreed to take in Naron, Nanda, Nico and Novak.
