When we saw him, he immediately reminded us of Obelix from the Asterix comics. Gentle and sweet as he presented himself to us, we couldn't think of a better name for him. Obelix was 133 days old when he and other members of his species arrived at Gut Aiderbichl. He had to present himself at the horse market in Rottenbuch and that day was also the last time he saw his mother. The separation of foals from their mothers is always upsetting for us.
