Dog Ophelia
Long-haired-collie
In June 2025, we were called to a seizure involving 25 Collies. We were told in advance that this was a breeder who did not keep her dogs well. On the day of collection, we were presented with a picture of horror. The walls of the house where the dogs are kept are no longer white, but brown - from dirt and the traces of a long period of suffering. But the worst thing is the smell: excrement and urine cover the floor - coupled with the summer heat. The acrid stench pushes even our most experienced helpers to their limits. In the end, 35 dogs had to be picked up - and they all had bad teeth, matted fur and some were in a devastating condition. Ophelia is currently being nursed back to health, vaccinated and neutered. She will be lovingly cared for by our animal carers until the end of her natural life and will never have to be afraid again.
