When you talk to Paula, you often get the feeling that she understands you. Her eyes can be so attentive. We almost never got to know this wonderful mare because she was on a transport to Belgium for slaughter in October 2007. Animal welfare activists were able to stop the transport in Lower Austria, as some of the animals were even injured. Thanks to the cooperation of Gut Aiderbichl, the animal rights activists and a generous couple, the 21 slaughter horses could be bought free. Here at Gut Aiderbichl Köllersberger-Hof, they receive nothing but love and care. We have promised them that they will be allowed to stay until the end of their natural lives.
