Fox Peter

Peter and his siblings were brought to Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf on May 16, 2014. Their mother had given birth to them 200 meters away from a house and raised them. When the puppies were around 3 weeks old, the mother did not return, as animal lovers observed. After two days, they finally took the fox cubs home and nursed them back to health, as the cubs would not have stood a chance without help. However, the animal lovers were unable to care for the growing foxes in the long term. Releasing them into the wild was not a solution, as the foxes were too used to humans. So the animal lovers contacted us, as they knew that we had an animal-friendly and species-appropriate enclosure with tunnels and retreats, but also with protection against climbing over and under. We were able to agree and our "mother fox" Anna lovingly looked after the foxes at Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf from then on.
