When Pongi was born, he was smaller than the others. The farmers noticed this immediately. However, they initially assumed that he was a little late bloomer and that he would certainly grow. When he did not grow as much as expected, the farmers turned to Gut Aiderbichl. Somehow they had grown fond of their Pongi and did not want to have him slaughtered. Michael Aufhauser agreed to take him in.
