Horse Reny

When Michael Aufhauser received a call from animal rights activists in Lower Austria, he immediately got into his car. The callers explained that they had been able to stop a horse slaughter transport containing 21 injured and completely exhausted slaughter horses. The animal welfare activists said they could help buy the horses back, but it was impossible for them to accommodate so many animals. Once on site, Michael Aufhauser immediately agreed to take in all the horses. The purchase sum of over 30,000 euros was raised, not least thanks to the generous help of a couple who also happened to be present. Reny can now stay with us forever.
