We found Rüdiger and his buddies Idefix and Nils at a horse market in Maishofen. They were still very small foals at the time and had just been separated from their mother. It is quite possible that they would have found a home. But it would also have been conceivable if they had found themselves on a transport to Italy for slaughter. Fortunately, Rüdiger no longer has to worry about this - he is now an Aiderbichler and can remain one for the rest of his life.
