Horse Schecky

Schecky lived with three other ponies with an animal-loving lady. But when she suddenly passed away, the ponies found themselves in free fall. Nobody wanted to take them on and so they suddenly found themselves on a transport to Italy for slaughter. Shortly before the transport reached the border, we were able to reach the dealer and place the ponies under our protection. A few months later, little Erik, who suffered from early childhood autism, visited Gut Aiderbichl with his father. The child had not spoken a word for more than two years. But then Erik met Schecky. The boy played with the pony, stroked it and lost his fear. Like a little king, he suddenly called out "Daddy".
