A phone call saved the lives of 21 horses for slaughter that had been transported from Romania to Belgium. Animal rights activists were able to stop the transport and contacted Michael Aufhauser. They asked for his help. He did not hesitate and drove to the scene of the incident. At this point, it was already clear that all 21 slaughter horses would become Aiderbichler. The animal welfare activists were able to contribute a small part of the purchase price, the rest of 27,000 euros had to come from Gut Aiderbichl.
