The name Silvia comes from Latin and means "mistress of the forest". Her country of origin, Peru, is very barren, which is why we change the name to "Mistress of Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf", as the descendant of the guanacos strides regally across the farmyard. With her big brown eyes, she seems to look deep into everyone's soul. But things were not always as rosy for Silvia and her friend, alpaca Bernhard, as they are today: before they came to us, the two were kept in disastrous conditions, forcing the veterinary office to confiscate them both and bring them to Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf.
