A shy cow was roaming the forests of Switzerland. The three-year-old cow had escaped from her owner and had been on the run ever since. Many Swiss people contacted Gut Aiderbichl after the story became known and asked for the poor cow to be taken in - because it was becoming increasingly likely that she would be shot. Hans Wintersteller, an employee of Gut Aiderbichl, set off and after a few days was able to catch the Spächtli and bring her to safety. Once all the paperwork and vaccinations had been completed, Sächtli was allowed to move. What nobody knew - she was pregnant and gave birth to her son Stern a few weeks later.
