Deer Susi

An elderly couple were given a deer calf to raise by a hunter. They had raised it with a lot of love, as they already had many years of experience looking after wild animals and poaching them. But Susi was special. Unfortunately, she was born blind, which made it impossible to release her into the wild. The tolerance threshold for wild animals is also very low, which made socialization in a wild animal park impossible. Unfortunately, Susi could not stay, as the couple were completely overwhelmed with caring for her. The neighbor turned to us for help and asked us for assistance. At Gut Aiderbichl Carinthia we are trying to offer her a species-appropriate life.
