Teufel belongs to the so-called Zackel sheep, which are considered to be very robust and hardy. They originate from the Hungarian Pustza and have been considered endangered since 1903. With a lot of effort and ingenuity, this wonderful breed has been saved for modern times, but the danger is not over yet. In our fast-moving times, Zackel sheep have almost no place. Gery Keszler, the founder and long-time organizer of the Life Ball, recognized the plight of these animals and wanted to help. A small herd lives on his property, which he lovingly looks after. But when this herd became too large, he asked Gut Aiderbichl for help. So Teufel became an Aiderbichler.
