Animals can grow very close to our hearts. Humans and horses have always worked very closely together. Vasco, a well-behaved vaulting horse, was struggling with back problems. Horses with back pain quickly fall into a relaxed posture. To prevent further damage from occurring as a result, therapy must be started quickly. However, Vasco should not be treated, but retired. This usually means that the horses are sold to a dealer and often transported to a piecework slaughterhouse. The members of the "Hohenstein Vaulting Group" wanted to prevent this at all costs and pulled out all the stops to find him a new home. Thanks to Frank Weber, the animal welfare expert from the program "hundkatzemaus", not only was Vasco's health problem solved, but a new home was also found for him: Gut Aiderbichl.
