This well-behaved Haflinger gelding owes his life to chance and a camera team that accompanied us for an ARTE documentary in 2014. We wanted to show the team what it looks like in a stable and what the animals have to go through there. We wanted to show the viewers why we do what we do. Fate wanted us to rescue all the animals from this stable. We wouldn't have been able to do anything else, because nobody wanted to make the decision about life and death.
