Zahara is a former competition horse and was stabled at the age of almost 20. This or a similar fate befalls many sport horses: when they can no longer perform, they are driven to the slaughterhouse, are stabled or are lucky enough to become an Aiderbichler. Zahara's owner no longer wanted her and she was supposed to be auctioned off. But fate had other plans. A lady who had stabled her own horses in Zahara's stable wanted to help the mare and contacted Gut Aiderbichl's animal emergency center. Zahara now lives in the stables at Gut Aiderbichl in Iffeldorf. She loves her new surroundings, everything is exciting and there are wonderful pastures here for the Gut Aiderbichl horses.
