In 2008, a cattle breeder from Hallertau contacted us at Gut Aiderbichl's head office. He told us that he had a breeding bull that now had to be retired. But he and the bull had an incredible friendship, so much so that the farmer could even ride on the back of the tame animal. He did not want to sell him to a butcher and asked to take in his bull Ernstl. This is how we got to know Christian Kögl, who also visited his Ernstl at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf time and again. A few months later, when a large rescue of 15 Galloway cattle came up, Michael Aufhauser remembered the likeable farmer from the Hallertau and called him. Together they forged a partnership and Christian Kögl and his cattle became Aiderbichlers. Among them was the well-behaved Zonata.
