Our ducks
Why are there ducks at Gut Aiderbichl?
At Gut Aiderbichl, we witness every day how closely the destinies of humans and animals are intertwined. Time and again, we hear stories that begin with a beautiful dream: the idea of a lovingly designed garden with a small pond, where ducks paddle peacefully and quack happily. A place of harmony – for people and animals alike.
But life doesn’t always follow the dream. Sometimes neighbors begin to complain, legal circumstances change, or a person’s living situation no longer allows them to keep animals. For the animals, this often means they become unwanted, homeless, and alone.
At Gut Aiderbichl, we offer these animals a new perspective. Even injured ducks or those that simply flew to us by chance find a safe haven here. They are lovingly cared for, receive medical attention, and are allowed to be what they are – ducks, swimming, quacking, living together. Here, they experience what it means to live in peace and safety – without fear, but with lots of compassion and care.
