Our mules
Why are there mules at Gut Aiderbichl?
It happens again and again that mules need to be surrendered due to financial or personal circumstances. However, many owners take loving care of their animals and want to ensure that they are well looked after even in times of personal hardship – something we can guarantee at Gut Aiderbichl.
Some of our mules were once gentle therapy animals and are now enjoying a well-deserved retirement at Gut Aiderbichl. But not all were so fortunate in their past lives. We regularly hear sad stories – some mules were literally saved from the slaughterhouse at the last minute. At Gut Aiderbichl, they have now found a safe and loving home. By the way, a mule is the result of crossing a male donkey (stallion) with a female horse (mare).
