Our parrots

Parrots enchant many people with their exoticism. Unfortunately, many parrots end up as wild-caught birds in small living rooms, often without their owners having informed themselves about the demanding conditions in which they are kept. All too often, these proud animals are crammed into cages that are too small. Some of our parrots have had to be confiscated for this reason. Or if they become too noisy for the neighbors and cause too much work, the only option is often to take them to an animal shelter.

What many people don’t know: Parrots usually outlive their owners with ease, as these birds can live up to 80 years or longer. But what happens to them when no one can look after them anymore?
