Our rodents
Why are there rodents at Gut Aiderbichl?
Rodents include rats, mice, degus and chinchillas. Despite many similarities, these species differ significantly in their way of life and their needs in terms of keeping and care.
At Gut Aiderbichl, numerous rodents find a new home. Many of them were once beloved pets, but due to changes in their owners’ circumstances – such as moving house or allergies – they could no longer stay. Others were saved from a sad fate as they were originally intended as food for snakes and other predators.
Each of our rodents has its own story, as individual as their species and personality. At Gut Aiderbichl, they all receive a species-appropriate environment and loving care.
