Our roe deer
Why are there roe deer at Gut Aiderbichl?
The story of our deer often begins with an injured, malnourished or hit fawn that has been found by animal-loving people. Especially during the mowing season, we repeatedly receive emergency calls – fawns that have been hit by mowing machines and in some cases seriously injured or mutilated.
Many of these animals are then reared by hand, as it is no longer possible to return them to the wild. However, rearing a fawn is a demanding and responsible task. Many important details have to be taken into account so that such a young animal can survive without its mother.
At Gut Aiderbichl, these deer find a safe home – lovingly cared for by our experienced, trained animal keepers.
