Obituary Jeanny

"It is a joy of life for me to spoil your bad mood!" our beloved dog Jeanny always lived by this principle. And even in her last moments, she inspired us with her love. Her wonderful little heart has stopped beating. Our beloved Jeanny has fallen asleep forever.

I met Jeanny in September 2004, when I picked her up from a cattle dealer. Once Jeanny was supposed to become a house and yard dog, but Jeanny had not signed this "contract". She made herself independent and roamed around in the forest every day. Again and again they had to search for her and bring her home. The cattle dealer's collar burst and the little cheeky dog had to go away.

Quickly Michael and I noticed that Jeanny was something special and that she also needed special attention. Months passed until she felt addressed - but Michael managed, with a lot of patience and love, that Jeanny felt comfortable with us. She was happy about every excursion, about every car ride. Here she seemed to be able to relax.

The lively dog also quickly made friends with my daughter Laura, and together they grew up. An inseparable team - Jeanny did not leave Laura's side, unless there was something to eat. That was her secret passion - no snack, no lunch, not even cat food was safe from the gourmet. And even now, when she was already so old, food had to be well hidden from her.

I have never met before a dog who had so many fluff in her head, who explored the world for herself so extensively, and who could spread so much joy of life.

Already last year she was not well in health. She became more comfortable, kind and enjoyed being without her dog friends. When we noticed that she was having a hard time walking, she was prescribed painkillers and physical therapy by the vet. What worked initially and for a very long time just stopped in the last few days. Jeanny was getting worse and we took her to the vet clinic. The dedicated vets wanted to fight for her and we also had hope - but at the end of the day we had to say goodbye to our fighter. In the presence of her keepers, Jeanny fell asleep forever and also for me an era ended here, but not the friendship and affection. And when I think of my little Jeanny today, I think of the beautiful moments, the funny ones and the sad ones too. Jeanny accompanied me through good and hard times, and I will never forget her.

Dear Jeanny, Thank you for always being by my side, standing by me, and always making me smile. You will always live in my heart. Sleep well, my good friend.

I thank all the people who have supported us and Gut Aiderbichl with their sponsorship for Jeanny. Sponsors of Jeanny will be contacted directly by the Gut Aiderbichl team.

Your Dieter Ehrengruber

Reunion is our hope. As bitter as death is, it cannot separate love. He has indeed departed from life, but not from our life; for how could we think him dead, who dwells so vividly in our heart!
