We at Gut Aiderbichl see ourselves as a meeting place between humans and animals. Walk with us across the pigs' spacious meadow, meet pigs up close and from perhaps a completely new side and get to know incomparable characters and personalities.

Course content
Feel the very special atmosphere in the midst of real lucky pigs. Meet your very personal favorite pig and let him take you into his very own world. Pigs live deeply rooted in the element earth and have the incomparable quality of draining all our everyday stress and worries deep into the earth. This is about feeling calm, letting go and thereby finding yourself and your own needs again.

Dr Marianne Wondrak
Dr. Marianne Wondrak studied agricultural sciences at the TU Munich in Weihenstephan and veterinary medicine at the LMU in Munich. During her work in veterinary practice, her fascination for animal behavior in general and pigs in particular was awakened. Especially the widely underestimated abilities of so-called farm animals and the very ambivalent human-animal relationships soon became the focus of her interest. She soon switched to animal welfare and worked as a specialist for animals in agriculture at the German Animal Welfare Association. In spring 2014, she began a PhD study at the Messerli Research Institute and in the course of this was intensively involved in the establishment of free-range pig husbandry at the Haidlhof Research Station, the breeding and rearing of the animals, and the practical implementation of the research work. From 2016, Dr. Wondrak headed the Clever Pig Lab as a university assistant, focusing on the socio-cognitive abilities of Kune Kune pigs. In the fall of 2021, she moved to Gut Aiderbichl in Henndorf am Wallersee as a veterinarian and since then has been caring not only for the Clever Pig Lab pigs, which have also moved to Gut Aiderbichl, but also for all the other animal residents.
