A new home for Emma, Clara, Benny and Felix

Four donkeys find refuge at Gut Aiderbichl Deggendorf

The owner and her four beloved donkeys Emma, Clara, Benny and Felix were greatly appreciated by the people around them. And many volunteers were involved in making knowledge, encounters and experiences with these wonderful animals possible and bringing joy. However, in the summer of 2024, we received an urgent emergency call from Bavaria – from the donkey owner, who had suddenly been badly treated.

The perfect world began to crumble

Someone wanted to scare her and her animals away from there: first through constant bullying, then vandalism and trespassing. It was a bitter blow for the little paradise. As the donkey owner was unable to find anything suitable despite an intensive search, she finally asked Gut Aiderbichl for help to prevent further escalation for everyone involved.

Love to distribute

Fortunately, we had room at the right time for these four pieces of gold, who now enrich our donkey troop. We are glad that they are now safe and we have been able to help out. Emma, Clara, Benny and Felix are used to loving contact with people and are happy to give back all the love they have received from their owner.

Emma, Clara, Benny and Felix say hi

The four donkeys now have a permanent home at Gut Aiderbichl. What makes us particularly happy about this story is that the four donkeys can continue to have the important and non-coercive contact with humans that they are used to, as they have found a new home at our Gut Aiderbichl encounter centre in Deggendorf. We believe that it is the moments of exchange that not only bring healing to the animals, but also enrich us humans! The four treasures therefore look forward to many visitors.
