A couple rescued Anabell in Croatia. In a few weeks Anabell will be 10 years old, she has a beautiful black coat and mysterious eyes.
At the time of the rescue, Anabell was sick. Various examinations diagnosed the calicivirus.
Calicivirus attacks the respiratory tract. If you look into the mouth of a cat that is going through an infection with the calicivirus, you will see reddened, swollen and sometimes bloody gums. Not only older cats are affected, but also young cats. The calicivirus is also a common cause of cat cold, and is contracted through direct contact with a cat infected with the virus. After overcoming the disease, some animals remain latently infected with the virus for life.
Anabell has passed all the examinations and treatments, but due to the illness with the virus she has only two teeth left.
Anabel - was neither graceful nor lovely at first
When Anabel was discovered in Croatia, she was she was barely able to drink water or eat anything. She was too weak for anything. The people did not give up and broughtn the cat to the veterinary clinic. Nfter the healing, they looked for a place for the beautiful Anabell.
Unfortunately, it was very difficult to find a home for the cat with two teeth. Anabel was brought to an animal shelter, where she should spend several months. At a later foster family, she jumped on furniture and pawed at the other animals - so she was anything but a cuddly cat. With her foster family Anabell could not stay any longer.
The request for a safe forever home was received by the animal emergency center of Gut Aiderbichl, and Anabell found a place in the cat paradise of Maria Schmolln.
Anabel likes people now, however she withdraws from conspecifics
Annabel loves to be petted by the keepers and is always waiting at the lock to greet her humans. She loves to be outdoors and to do her rounds there. She tends to withdraw from her peers, and if necessary she will not put up with anything.
Who knows what Anabell had to experience until she was discovered by her rescuers?
Anabell could like it very well in a family as a single cat. Competition is not her thing. Let's hope for a good place with dear people for our Anabel from Croatia.

Anabell can purr, cuddle and meanwhile loves people's hands again.
