Andy and Scheran
Two horses that brought tourists to Neuschwanstein
Sitting in a carriage and being pulled by horses...many tourists must have enjoyed that. Andy and Scheran transported people to Neuschwanstein Castle for a few years. Later they found shelter on a farm where there were also 21 guinea pigs, a dog and some cats. Everything was fine so far, until their owners separated. The animals had to find a new home.
As life goes...
Sometimes animals have to find a new home because the life path of the people they could live with becomes a new one. Where to put the animals? Countless dogs, cats, ferrets etc., which have been looking for a new home, live on the farms of Gut Aiderbichl, because the path of the people split and neither of them could keep the animals.
A call for help reached Gut Aiderbichl
The two cold-blooded horses Andy and Scheran had to leave their home. Andy was 16 years old and Scheran 19. They should have a good life after their career as carriage horses. The desperate woman asked us to take them in and also wished that the two would not be separated under any circumstance.
This wish was to come true, the two South German cold-blooded horses moved into one of the seven outlying yards in Henndorf: the Köllersberger Hof. There they now live in peace and are cared for and nurtured, together with many other rescued horses from the most diverse life situations.
Andy and Scheran have settled in very well and are happy. Edith, the former farmer's wife on whose farm Aiderbichl horses live, puts a lot of love and passion into her work. In previous generations, cattle lived in the stables and for some years rescued horses from Gut Aiderbichl have been living there. She knows the major and minor aches and pains of "her children", as she affectionately calls them, and is always in touch with the horse keepers.
In the morning, the mood in the stables rises when Edith comes and calls her charges by name. Heads are raised, quiet neighing goes through the stable and everyone knows: "Now it's time to go out! Jacky, the farm dog, accompanies his mistress and the horses to the meadows. Andy and Scheran have been at the farm for two months now and are enjoying life to the full. May it stay that way.
It is only thanks to your support, dear animal friends, that we can take in animals like Andy and Scheran and offer them a home until the natural end of their lives. Please continue to support us with a donation or a symbolic sponsorship. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
