Abandoned siblings

From the perspective of Gut Aiderbichl

I would like to understand it so much...

when people abandon animals. Is it desperation, is it indifference or a financial problem when animals are left to fend for themselves? As an Aiderbichl woman, I have stood behind the philosophy of Gut Aiderbichl for many years. We do not condemn, but we honestly try to help wherever it's possible.

"We would have taken the animals if we had been asked to help..."

Dieter Ehrengruber himself went through Michael Aufhauser's school for many years and learned to look and find solutions for animals in need.

A few days ago, a closed cardboard box was left outside the gates of Gut Aiderbichl Maria Schmolln. The animal keeper on duty opened it carefully and found five dwarf rabbits inside, looking at her questioningly. She noticed that they were shivering from the cold and quickly brought the little orphans into the warmth. At that point, they needed food and water immediately.

The trip led to Gut Aiderbichl Henndorf

The little quintuplets were brought to the small animal hospital in Henndorf. Our animal rescuers received the ten to eleven week old rabbits and an appointment with the vet was quickly organised. There, the freshly rescued animals were thoroughly examined and their sexes were also determined. There are two male rabbits, which we have named Luis and Monty, and three females, who are now called Emilia, Tess and Enya.

Rabbit life is fun

The five tiny rabbits are very happy and play with each other all day long without a care in the world. When they are strong enough and neutered, they will be moved to the Henndorf Rabbit House and will be able to live a happy and healthy life with a large number of rescued conspecifics.

"We help immediately when animals need our support. The rabbits find with us the necessary care to give them a long, happy and above all healthy life. It is a pity that people get rid of their animals in this way, we would have taken them too if they had contacted us." - said Dieter Ehrengruber.

When you help the animal, you often help the human as well

Behind many biographies of rescued animals are stories where people didn't know what to do. Let us be your contacts to help your animal.

Sincerely, your Gisela
