Cat Curly
Tired, dehydrated and malnourished
A grey perserkaterwas found near a lama breeding in a wooded areain Germany. Curly, as hewas baptised by the Aiderbichlerstaff, roamed around there. He war limp, malnourished, dehydrated and seemed sad and lonely.
Curly could be captured without any problems, just like that, as if hehad been waiting to be foundand to find a loving home somewhere. Where he came from, we won’t know … Run away or abandoned? Curly remains silent.
Persian cat – ideal as an indoor cat due to its low urge to be free
Persian cats are rather calm animals that are considered perfect cats for residentialkeeping. This is how the Persian cat became one of the most popular cat breeds in Europe. They love to cuddle and snuggle with their humans and don’t really push outside. Curly tomcats have a balanced character and are calm and rather lazy, which is said to be the case with Persian cats.
Despite their reputation for being rather fuzzy lazy creatures, the Persian cat is also a predator and wants to explore, climb and occasionally play.
Cruly’s fur was matted, you could feel his ribs and his skin was full of pests
Was Curly abandoned or did he set off on his own journey? We will never know. When Curly was discovered, he was not only in a terrible state of health. His fur was matted and full of dirt and he was frighteningly emaciated.
Persian cats need to be combed daily to prevent the fine hairs from becoming matted and knotted. Curly became a real task for our Anita.
- Conversation with Anita Hartner, Head of GAOS, regarding Curly’s condition:
“Curly’s coat looked terrible. It was matted, knotted, dirty and we had to shave him bald. Then we realised how many ticks were stuck in his skin and how emaciated poor Curly was. The ticks were carefully removed. The fur will grow back quickly and will of course be brushed daily.
The bigger concern was his low weight. Curly only weighed 2.5 kg. He has put on a lot of weight, but in almost six weeks of living with us, he has now gained 400 grams. His food tastes good and our Curly enjoys being stroked…..”. – Curly gets the best food, the most loving care and time. Let’s wish him a good weight gain and that he can leave what was behind him.
When you look into the eyes of a rescued animal, you can't help but fall in love.

APPELL:
No matter which animal you want to keep as a pet, a mature consideration whether you can meet the requirements of your future pet (time commitment, financial means for food and vet), is absolutely necessary!
