Puma and Da Vinci
can grow old with confidence
Puma and Da Vinci are two cats who are the greatest joy of a very sick woman. The animal-loving lady has been confined to a wheelchair for 15 years. What’s more, her health is deteriorating more and more, her hospital stays are increasing and she now needs 24-hour care.
The carers of the sick lady demand a “cat-free” household. In addition to the health dilemma, the sick woman in a wheelchair is now faced with the decision to part with her cats.
"When we help animals, we also help people"
First and foremost, we see it as our duty to help animals in need and give them a home. In the case of Puma and Da Vinci, by taking in the elderly cats (15 and 16 years old), we were at least able to relieve the sick lady in the wheelchair of the worry of what to do with her cats so that she could get help herself. Animals and people often feel “at the mercy” of each other – but there is usually a good solution for everything.
The solution for Puma and Da Vinci was Gut Aiderbichl Maria Schmolln. The lady was also assured that she could visit her two pets as often as possible.

In winter, the cat inhabitants look for a cosy spot in the rooms and during the warm summer months, the many cats spread out under the bushes and trees. cats spread out under the bushes and trees in the spacious grounds in Maria Schmolln.
Puma loves the cat kitchen
Puma has settled in very well and is a so-called alpha cat. Everyone has respect for the self-confident, black and white cat. His favourite place is the cat kitchen. He knows that there is a chest of drawers where the good cat treats are kept. Puma spoils the carers with his languorous gaze and soft purring to catch an extra treat, which he undoubtedly always succeeds in doing.
Da Vinci, a red tabby cat, is elegantly above it all. He also loves his new home and enjoys the hours of sunshine in front of the house. He also likes to purr with all the other cats.
